  1. Remove 2 bolts securing PAS pipe brackets to cylinder head.
Remove 2 bolts securing PAS pipe brackets to cylinder head.
  1. Loosen union securing fuel pipe to filter and disconnect fuel pipe.

CAUTION: To prevent damage to fuel pipes or components, use 2 spanners when loosening or tightening unions. Plug the connections.

  1. Disconnect ECM vacuum hose from inlet manifold.
  2. Release clip and disconnect evaporative emission canister purge hose from inlet manifold.
  3. Disconnect injector harness multiplug from engine harness.
  4. Disconnect multiplug from IAT sensor.
  5. Disconnect multiplug from FT sensor.
  6. Disconnect brake servo vacuum pipe from inlet manifold.
  7. Remove 2 screws securing fuel return pipe to inlet manifold.
  8. Release clip and disconnect fuel return hose from fuel rail.
  9. Remove inlet camshaft cover. See this section.
  10. Remove exhaust camshaft cover. See this section.
Remove exhaust camshaft cover. See this section.
  1. Release h.t. leads from spark plugs and position aside.
