1.3 Multijet

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Op. 1048B18 INTERMEDIATE AIR SUPPLY PIPE FROM TURBOCHARGER TO HEAT EXCHANGER - R.R.

Op. 1072C44 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT SHIELD - R+R

Op. 1048B20 AIR SUPPLY HOSE FROM HEAT EXCHANGER TO RIGID PIPE - REPLACE

Op. 1084B40 ENGINE OIL DELIVERY PIPE TO TURBOCHARGER - R + R

Op. 1080B90 LAMBDA SENSOR - R.R.

Op. 1048A50 TURBOCHARGER AIR INTAKE PIPE - R.R.

Op. 1076B20 REAR EXHAUST SILENCER - R + R

Op. 1076B40 CENTRE EXHAUST PIPE - R.R.

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and disconnect the air supply pipe between the turbocharger and the heat exchanger (1b).

1. Undo the nuts fixing the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold.

1. Undo the bolt fixing the catalytic converter mounting bracket.

1. Remove the turbocharger (1a) complete with catalytic converter (1b), turbocharger engine oil return pipe (1c) and heat shield (1d).

- Position the catalytic converter in a vice fitted with protective jaws.

- Remove the heat shield.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the turbocharger engine oil return pipe (1b).

2. Open the safety flange tabs

3. Undo bolts (3a) and separate turbocharger (3b) from catalytic converter (3c).

- Remove the gasket

Refitting

- Fit the gasket in its housing.

- Assemble the turbocharger and the catalytic converter and tighten the bolts to the recommended torque.

- Close the safety flange tabs

- Place a new turbocharger engine oil return pipe complete with a new gasket in its housing on the turbocharger and tighten bolts to the recommended torque.

- Fit the heat shield.

1. Fit the turbocharger assembly in place and tighten the nuts to the recommended torque.

- Tighten the bolt securing the catalytic converter mounting bracket to the manual gearbox/engine bracket.

1. Connect the air supply pipe between the turbocharger and the heat exchanger (1a) and tighten the fixing bolts (1b) to the recommended torque.

Op. 1072C44 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT SHIELD - R+R

Op. 1048B18 INTERMEDIATE AIR SUPPLY PIPE FROM TURBOCHARGER TO HEAT EXCHANGER - R.R.

Op. 1048A23 COLD AIR INTAKE FOR AIR FILTER - R.R

Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R.

- Connect the negative battery terminal.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
