STEP	CHECK TO BE PERFORMED	REMEDIAL ACTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1	Variable valve timing wiring check Check the continuity of the wiring between the solenoid valve and the engine control unit See E5030 PETROL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT Move on to Step 2	Restore the wiring between the engine control unit and the solenoid valve
2	Solenoid valve resistance check Disconnect the negative battery lead Measure the resistance between the variable valve timing control solenoid terminals and check that the value is less than 10 Ohm±10% a 20°C	Replace the variable valve timing control solenoid Op. 1056B48 PHASE TRANSFORMER ELECTROMAGNET - R.R.

REMEDIAL ACTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK

Variable valve timing wiring check

Check the continuity of the wiring between the solenoid valve and the engine control unit

Move on to Step 2

Restore the wiring between the engine control unit and the solenoid valve

Solenoid valve resistance check

Disconnect the negative battery lead

Measure the resistance between the variable valve timing control solenoid terminals and check that the value is less than 10 Ohm±10% a 20°C

Replace the variable valve timing control solenoid
