ELECTRIC STEERING WARNING LIGHT ON

After the initial test, the electric steering warning light stays on

1	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
		Test results
	Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment and check, in Instrument Panel Node mode, that there are no errors and that the parameters are present	End of diagnosis	1. Impossible to connect to the NQS control unit 2. Presence of errors	1. Move on to Step 2 2. Move on to Step 5
2	ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check that the electrical power supply for the "Instrument Panel Node" is correct see Wiring Diagram See E4010 INSTRUMENT PANEL	Move on to Step 3	Fault in electrical supply positive and/or earth	Replace defective component (in the case of a fuse, find out what caused it to blow)
3	ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check the Instrument Panel Node electrical connections, particular that each pin is correctly connected and inserted	Move on to Step 4	NQS electrical connections not operational	Renew the damaged electrical connections
4	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Use an Examiner to check the possibility of connection to the Instrument Panel Node	Move on to Step 5	Impossible to connect with the control unit	Replace the Instrument Panel Node Op. 5560B10 CONTROL PANEL - R+R
5	ERROR CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check for the absence of the specific error with the Examiner in Instrument Panel Mode	Move on to Step 7	Internal NQS control unit error detected	Move on to Step 6
6	ACTIVE DIAGNOSIS CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	With the Examiner in Instrument Panel Node mode check that the Electric Steering warning light is correctly activated in Active Diagnosis	Move on to Step 7	The warning light is not activated	Replace the Instrument Panel Node Op. 5560B10 CONTROL PANEL - R+R
7	CORRECT OPERATION CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check that the fault is no longer present	End of diagnosis	The fault persists	Contact technical service for further information on the problem
