CLUTCH NOISY

Noise (creaking) is heard when the clutch pedal is operated

0	PRELIMINARY CHECKS	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	With the engine idling and the gearbox in neutral, press the clutch pedal fully down and see whether the noise disappears. Then, with the engine running and the handbrake on to lock the wheels, engage first gear and release the clutch to see whether the noise disappears.	Move on to Step 1	1. The noise disappears with the clutch pressed	1. Proceed as instructed in the See table S01 ENGINE KNOCK
		Move on to Step 1	2. The noise disappears with the gear engaged.	2. Proceed as instructed in the See table S015 NOISE WHILST DRIVING
1	CHECK THRUST BEARING	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the condition of the thrust bearing: it should not be worn	Move on to Step 2	Bearing fault.	Replace the thrust bearing. Op. 1820B38 HYDRAULIC CLUTCH ACTUATOR WITH COAXIAL CONTROL - R.R WITH GEARBOX REMOVED
2	CLUTCH CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the condition of the cluch plate and the flexible coupling.	End of diagnosis	Fault in clutch plate or flexible coupling	Replace the clutch plate Op. 1810A20 CLUTCH - R + R
