SUN ROOF NOISY / WITH ROOF CLOSED

When driving with the roof closed, a noise can be heard from the sunroof area

0PRELIMINARY CHECKSALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check whether the noise only occurs with the roof closed.Move on to Step 11. The noise can be heard with the roof open

1. Proceed as instructed in the diagnosis

See table S075 SUN ROOF NOISY / ROOF OPEN

2. The noise can be heard when the roof is opened in the swivel setting.

2. Proceed as instructed in the diagnosis

1SUN ROOF FASTENING CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Check the fastening:

  • of the roof glass to the slides;
  • of the roof mechanism to the body
Move on to Step 2Faulty fastenings.

Restore the fastening of the entire mechanism and the roof

2CHECK SUNROOF CONTROL DEVICESALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Remove the glass

Op. 7030B18 SLIDING ROOF GLASS PANEL - R+R

and check the operation of the sunroof operating devices:

  • ensure the felt pads are present on the central beam;
  • ensure the interior trim drive springs and present and correctly fastened;
  • ensure the teflon mount is present between the slides and rails;
  • ensure the felt pads are present between the spoiler and the front channel.
End of diagnosis1. Faulty fastenings.

1. Restore all the components and the fastening of the entire mechanism

2. Faults in the sunroof operating devices.

2. Replace the affected parts
