WINDSCREEN WIPER NOISY

0PRELIMINARY CHECKSALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Raise the windscreen wiper arms off the glass, turn on the panel and select one of the functions using the stalk (e.g. intermittence). Check whether the noise persists.Move on to Step 1The noise is no longer present.

Replace the wiper brushes and/or the arms.

1CHECK CORRECT FASTENING OF THE WINDSCREEN WIPERALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Turn off the previously selected function using the stalk and turn off the panel, then remove the brush carrier arms and the plate. Check the wiper is correctly fastened to the body.

Move on to Step 2Incorrect wiper fastening.Restore the correct fastening of the wiper.
2CHECK THE WIPER LINKAGEALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Turn off the instrument panel and check the linkage moves correctly, in particular:

  • check the linkage does not interfere with the body and is not impeded by foreign bodies present in the wiper housing;
  • check the wiper unit has been correctly assembled.
End of diagnosis1. The linkage interferes with the body.1. Restore the correct operation of the linkage.
2. Foreign bodies present in the wiper housing.2. Remove the foreign bodies from the wiper.
3. Incorrect wiper fastening.

3. Replace the wiper unit
