NOISE IN FRONT SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

Noise, creaking

1INTERFERENCE CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check for possible interference between the seat lifting adjustment components that could create noise/creaking (cover, lever, ratchet(s), linkage).Move on to Step 2Presence of noise/creaking through contact/interference between seat lifting components.

Move the parts in contact apart and, if necessary, lubricate the linkage where the creaking is located.

Do not lubricate the ratchet.

2CHECK ON FRAME RATCHET ASSEMBLYALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check that the ratchet(s) and frame are correctly assembled.Move on to Step 3Presence of noise between lever(s) and ratchet(s) and between ratchet(s) and frame as a result of loose fastening.Retighten the badly fastened components to the correct torque or those with clearance.
3CHECK THAT THERE IS NO NOISE FROM THE RATCHETALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check for noise from the ratchet(s) and the frame in static and dynamic conditions (with or without the adjustment of the seat).Move on to Step 41. Noise at the ratchet

1. Replace the ratchet(s)

2. Presence of noise at the linkage or at the torsion bar.2. Lubricate parts in contact or renew welding.
4CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATIONALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check that the fault is no longer present.End of diagnosisThe fault persists

Replace the seat frame
