SUN ROOF NOISY / ROOF OPEN

When driving with the roof fully open, a noise can be heard from the sunroof area

0PRELIMINARY CHECKSALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check whether the noise only occurs with the roof open.Move on to Step 11. The noise can be heard with the roof closed

1. Proceed as instructed in the diagnosis

See table S076 SUN ROOF NOISY / WITH ROOF CLOSED

2. The noise can be heard when the roof is opened in the swivel setting.

1SUN ROOF FASTENING CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Check the fastening:

  • of the roof glass to the slides;
  • of the roof mechanism to the body
Move on to Step 2Faulty fastenings.

Restore the fastening of the entire mechanism and the roof

2CHECK SUNROOF CONTROL DEVICESALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Check the operation of the sunroof operating devices:

  • with the sunroof open in the swivel position, check for the presence of the rubber pads on the rear part of the slides;
  • with the sunroof open in the swivel setting, check the condition and correct fastening of the end stop clips and the central gutter slides;
  • with the roof fully open, check the condition and correct fastening of the spoiler end stop rubber pads.
End of diagnosis1. Faulty fastenings.

1. Restore all the components and the fastening of the entire mechanism

2. Faults in the sunroof operating devices.
