Do not carry out further dismantling if component is removed for access only.

  1. Clean top of FIP around fuel cut-off solenoid.
  2. Position absorbent cloth around fuel cut-off solenoid.

  1. Remove nut and disconnect lead from fuel cut-off solenoid.
  2. Using a 24 mm spanner remove fuel cut-off solonoid from FIP.
  3. Collect solenoid plunger, spring, and ’O’ ring.

CAUTION: Plug solenoid aperture in pump.

Caution: plug solenoid aperture in pump. – Collect solenoid plunger, spring, and ’O’ ring.
  1. Remove 3 Allen screws securing adaptor bracket to FIP and remove bracket.
  2. Remove fuel feed banjo adaptor from FIP and discard sealing washer.
  3. Remove fuel return banjo adaptor from FIP and discard sealing washer.

CAUTION: Plug the connections.

  1. Fit fuel return banjo adaptor to FIP using new sealing washer. Tighten adaptor to 25 Nm.
  2. Fit fuel feed banjo adaptor to FIP using new sealing washer. Tighten adaptor to 25 Nm.
  3. Fit adaptor bracket to FIP and tighten Allen screws to 10 Nm.
  4. Lubricate and fit new ’O’ ring to fuel cut-off solenoid.
  5. Clean fuel cut-off solenoid plunger and spring.
  6. Fit plunger and spring to solenoid.
  7. Fit solenoid to FIP and tighten to 20 Nm.
