Injectors

Refit

1. Manoeuvre intercooler into position in vehicle.
2. Position mounting bracket to bonnet locking platform.
3. Fit and tighten bolts securing bracket to bonnet locking platform to 9 Nm.
4. Fit and tighten Torx bolt securing top of intercooler to radiator.
5. Fit and tighten Torx bolt securing bottom of intercooler to radiator.
6. Connect lower hose to intercooler and secure with clip.
7. Fit underbelly panel. See BODY, Exterior fittings.
8. Remove stand(s) and lower vehicle.
9. Fit radiator LH cooling fan. See COOLING SYSTEM - ’L’ SERIES, Repairs.

INJECTORS

Service repair no - 19.60.12

Remove

1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
2. Remove plenum chamber See FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM, Repairs.
3. Position absorbent cloth around fuel injectors to absorb any fuel spillages.

NOTE: No. 1 injector incorporates the needle lift sensor.

4. Remove needle lift sensor multiplug from injector pump mount.
5. Disconnect needle lift sensor multiplug.
6. Remove spill return hose banjo bolts and discard 2 sealing washers.
7. Release clips securing injector pipes together.

• CAUTION: To prevent damage to fuel
• system pipes or components use 2
• spanners when loosening or tightening
• unions.

8. Loosen injector pipe unions at injectors.
9. Disconnect injector pipes from injectors and move aside.

CAUTION: Plug the connections to prevent the ingress of dirt.
