  1. Release clip and disconnect filler hose from neck.
  2. Release clip and disconnect breather hose from neck.
  3. Release clip and disconnect fuel return hose from pipe.
  4. Press collar into coupling and disconnect fuel feed hose from pipe.

CAUTION: Plug the connections.

  1. Fit wooden block to jack and position jack to support fuel tank.

  1. Loosen 2 forward tank strap bolts and remove 2 rear bolts.
  2. Release fuel tank straps.
  3. With assistance, release tank from vehicle.
  4. Remove fuel tank from beneath vehicle.

Do not carry out further dismantling if component is removed for access only.

  1. Use 18G 1595 and remove fuel gauge tank unit locking ring.
  2. Remove fuel gauge tank unit and seal.

  1. Remove nut securing fuel breather and return pipe clip to tank flange.
  2. Release feed hose from clip on tank flange.
  3. Remove clip from flange.
