  1. Slacken injector pipe union at injector.
  2. Position absorbent cloth around fuel injection pump connection to catch fuel spillage.
  3. Slacken injector pipe union at injection pump.

CAUTION: To prevent damage to fuel system pipes or components, use 2 spanners when loosening or tightening unions.

  1. Release 2 clips securing injector pipes together.
  2. Disconnect injector pipe unions from fuel injection pump and injector, remove injector pipe.

CAUTION: Plug the connections to prevent the ingress of dirt.

All injectors – Disconnect injector pipe unions from fuel injection pump and injector, remove injector pip
  1. Injectors 2 and 3: Disconnect spill return pipe from injector.
  2. Injector 4: Remove spill return pipe banjo bolt and discard 2 sealing washers.
  3. Remove bolt and collect clamp plate securing injector to cylinder head.
  4. Remove injector from cylinder head, remove and discard sealing washer. Do not carry out further dismantling if component is removed for access only.

Injectors 2 and 3 only

  1. Remove spill return pipe banjo bolt and discard 2 sealing washers.
  2. Using new sealing washers, fit spill return pipe to new injector and tighten banjo bolt.
