FUEL SHUT-OFF SOLENOID

Service repair no - 18.30.07

Remove

  1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
Fuel shut-off solenoid – Disconnect battery earth lead.
  1. Remove 3 bolts securing sound deadening pad to engine.
  2. Remove sound deadening pad.
Fuel shut-off solenoid – Remove sound deadening pad.
  1. Slacken clip and disconnect intercooler top hose from inlet manifold.
  2. Position hose aside.
Fuel shut-off solenoid – Position hose aside.
  1. Clean top of injection pump around fuel shut-off solenoid.
  2. Position absorbent cloth around fuel shut-off valve to catch fuel spillage.
  3. Remove nut and disconnect lead from fuel shut-off valve.
  4. Using a 24 mm spanner, slacken fuel shut-off solenoid from injection pump.
  5. Unscrew and remove fuel shut-off solenoid.
  6. Collect fuel shut-off solenoid plunger and spring.
  7. Remove and discard ’O’ ring seal from fuel shut-off solenoid.
