GLOW PLUGS

Remove

  1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
Glow plugs – Disconnect battery earth lead.
  1. Remove 3 bolts securing sound deadening pad to engine.
  2. Remove sound deadening pad.
Glow plugs – Remove sound deadening pad.
  1. Slacken clip and disconnect intercooler top hose from inlet manifold.
  2. Position intercooler top hose aside.
  3. Models with air conditioning fitted: Remove alternator. See ELECTRICAL, Repairs.
  4. Drain cooling system. See MAINTENANCE.
Glow plugs – Drain cooling system. See MAINTENANCE.
  1. Disconnect multiplug from coolant temperature sensor.
  2. Disconnect temperature gauge sensor Lucar from harness.
  3. Slacken clip and disconnect radiator top hose from coolant outlet elbow.
  4. Remove bolt securing dipstick tube bracket to coolant outlet elbow.
  5. Remove 4 bolts securing coolant outlet elbow to cylinder head.
Glow plugs – Remove 4 bolts securing coolant outlet elbow to cylinder head.
  1. Remove coolant outlet elbow, remove and discard seal.
