INJECTORS

Service repair no - 19.60.10

NOTE: No. 1 injector incorporates the needle lift sensor and is covered in a seperate procedure, see Needle lift sensor.

Remove

  1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
Injectors – Disconnect battery earth lead.
  1. Remove 3 bolts securing sound deadening pad to engine.
  2. Remove sound deadening pad.
Injectors – Remove sound deadening pad.
  1. Slacken clip and disconnect intercooler top hose from inlet manifold.
  2. Position hose aside.

No. 2 injector only

  1. Remove bolt securing inlet manifold intake pipe to camshaft cover bracket.
  2. Remove 2 bolts securing EGR recirculation pipe to inlet manifold intake pipe.
  3. Remove 2 bolts securing intake pipe to inlet manifold.
  4. Remove inlet manifold intake pipe.
  5. Remove and discard gasket.
