Exhaust Manifold Replacement (1.4L LDD) Removal Procedure 1. Open the hood. 2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .            Warning: In order to avoid being burned, do not service the exhaust system while it is still hot. Service the system when it is cool. Warning: Always wear protective goggles and gloves when removing exhaust parts as falling rust and sharp edges from worn exhaust components could result in serious personal injury. 3. Remove the 3 exhaust front pipe nuts (2). 4. Remove exhaust front pipe gasket (4). 5. Hang the exhaust front pipe (3) aside. 6. Remove the 2 catalytic converter bracket bolts (1). 7. Lower the vehicle.            8. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor wiring harness plug (2). 9. Unclip the wiring harness from the retainer clip (1).            10. Remove the 9 exhaust manifold nuts (1).            Note:  Exhaust manifold and catalytic converter one part. 11. Remove the exhaust manifold (1) and the exhaust manifold gasket (2). Installation Procedure 1. Inspect the exhaust manifold bolt studs for tight fit. 2. Inspect the exhaust manifold bolt stud threads. Rework if necessary. 3. Clean sealing surfaces. Remove all remains of old gasket material.            4. Install a NEW exhaust manifold gasket (2). 5. Install the exhaust manifold (1). Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .            6. Install the NEW exhaust manifold nuts and tighten to 22 N·m (16 lb ft) . 7. Raise the vehicle.            8. Install the 2 catalytic converter bracket bolts (1) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in) . 9. Install the exhaust front pipe gasket (4). 10. Install the exhaust front pipe (3) to the catalytic converter. 11. Install the 3 NEW exhaust front pipe nuts and tighten to 17 N·m (13 lb ft) . 12. Lower vehicle.            13. Connect the heated oxygen sensor wiring harness plug (2) and clip the wiring harness to the retainer clip (1). 14. Close the hood.
