Operation 1088D10 · COOLANT PIPES AND HOSES

Removing

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

- Position a suitable container to collect the coolant

Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R.

Op. 1080B94 FRONT LAMBDA SENSOR TO WITH CATALYTIC CONVERTER - R.R

Op. 1072C44 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT SHIELD - R+R

1. Open retaining band (1a) and disconnect engine coolant supply hose (1b) from the radiator to the rigid pipe, radiator side.

1. Open retaining band (1a) and disconnect engine coolant supply hose (1b) from the radiator to the rigid pipe, pipe side.

- Remove the pipe.

Refitting

- Check that the pipe is not damaged, otherwise replace.

- Connect the coolant supply hose from the radiator to the rigid pipe, pipe side, and secure it with the retaining band.

- Connect the coolant supply hose from the radiator to the rigid pipe, radiator side, and secure it with the retaining band.

- Connect the negative battery terminal.

Op. 0010T20 ENGINE COOLANT - CHANGE

Removing

- Position a suitable container to collect the coolant

Op. 0010T20 ENGINE COOLANT - CHANGE

1. Open retaining band (1a) and disconnect coolant outlet hose (1b) from the radiator and from the water pump rigid pipe.

1. Open retaining band (1a) and disconnect coolant outlet hose (1b) from the expansion tank.

- Remove the pipe.

Refitting

- Check that the pipe is not damaged, otherwise replace.

- Connect the coolant outlet hose to the expansion tank and secure it with the retaining band.

- Connect the coolant outlet hose to the radiator and to the water pump rigid pipe and secure with the retaining bands.

1.3 Multijet

Removing

Op. 0010T20 ENGINE COOLANT - CHANGE

Op. 1048B20 AIR SUPPLY HOSE FROM HEAT EXCHANGER TO RIGID PIPE - REPLACE

- Position a suitable container for collecting the coolant.

1. Open the retaining bands (1a) and disconnect the engine coolant supply (1b) and return (1c) pipes, supply reservoir side

1. Open the retaining clip (1a) and disconnect the coolant outlet pipe (1b) from the radiator.

1. Open the retaining band (1a) and disconnect the lower coolant outlet hose (1b), engine oil heat exchanger side.

1. Remove the coolant outlet hose from the radiator complete with multi-way connector and flexible pipes.

2. Working at the bench, open the retaining band (2a) and separate the coolant outlet hose (2b) from the multi-way connector.

Refitting

- Working at the bench, connect the coolant outlet hose to the multi-way connector and secure it using a new retaining band.

- Fit the coolant outlet hose from the radiator complete with multi-way connector and flexible pipes in place.

- Connect the coolant outlet hose, engine oil heat exchanger side and secure it using a new retaining band.

- Connect the coolant outlet pipe to the radiator and secure it closing the mounting clip.

- Connect the flexible pipe between the coolant reservoir and the multi-way connector, coolant reservoir side and secure it using a new retaining band.
