Check for possible interference between the seat lifting adjustment components that could create noise/creaking (cover, lever, ratchet(s), linkage).Move on to Step 2Presence of noise/creaking through contact/interference between seat lifting components.

Move the parts in contact apart and, if necessary, lubricate the linkage where the creaking is located.

Do not lubricate the ratchet.

Check for noise from the ratchet(s) and the frame in static and dynamic conditions (with or without the adjustment of the seat).Move on to Step 4
