REAR CREAKING

1.2 8v, 1.3 Multijet, 1.4 16v

With the vehicle moving, particularly over rough ground or during acceleration or braking, noise can be heard from the rear of the passenger compartment

Check the correct fastening:

  • of the cushion to the body;
  • of the backrest to the luggage compartment bulkhead;
  • of the rear seat belt mountings to the body.
Move on to Step 2

1. Seat fastenings not correct

2. Rear seat belt fastening not correct

1. Renew the correct fastening.

Op. 7005A10 FRONT SIDE DOOR - ADJUST STRIKER AND ADAPT SEAL IF NECESSARY

2. Renew the correct fastening.

2REAR PARCEL SHELF CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation

Remove the rear parcel shelf and check:

  • For the presence of noise prevention rubber mountings on the rear parcel shelf rear hooks;
  • That the elements on the rear parcel shelf (e.g. speakers) are correctly fastened;
  • That the boot wiring coupling is correctly insulated.
Move on to Step 3

1. Rubber mountings or insulation missing.

2. Fastenings faulty

1. Renew the rubbing mountings and insulating material

2. Restore the correct fastening of the elements to the rear parcel shelf.

3REAR PILLAR COVER CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation

Remove the pillar covers and check:

  • for the presence of the felt between the pillar cover and the pillar;
  • for the presence of the felt between the pillar cover and the rear parcel shelf.
Move on to Step 4Felt missing.Renew felt.

Remove the seat and check that the welding for the backrest perimeter joining back is correct.End of diagnosisWelding faulty.
