DISPLAY SIGNALS ICE DANGER WITH HIGH OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE

The "Instrument Panel Node" receives outside temperature information from the "Driver''s Door Node" which, in turn, receives the figure from the sensor on the moving part of the driver''s rear view mirror.

0PRELIMINARY CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Check that the temperature value shown on the instrument panel display is plausible.

Also check that when the "NQS" is switched on and off the temperature value is plausible.

Move on to Step 31.Value not plausible.1.Continue to step 1
2.The value is correct again at the new key on.2.Continue to step 3
1ACTIVE DIAGNOSIS CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Using the Examiner, check in the active diagnosis ambient that the autotest function is correctly activatedMove on to Step 2The function in question is not operated by the active diagnosis

Replace the instrument panel

Using the Examiner and in the "Driver''s Door Node" ambient, check that there is no air temperature sensor error.Move on to Step 31.Outside air temperature sensor defective/stuck.1.Replace the sensor
2. Wiring defective2.Renew the wiring
3CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATIONALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check that the fault is no longer present.End of diagnosis
