CAMSHAFT COVER GASKET - 97.5 MY ON

Remove

  1. Release h.t. lead clip from bracket and disconnect leads from spark plugs.
  2. Release clip and disconnect breather hose from camshaft cover.

  1. Remove 5 bolts securing camshaft cover.
  2. Release and remove cover.
  3. Remove and discard gasket.

Refit

  1. Ensure faces of cylinder head and camshaft cover are clean.

  1. Check condition of spark plug tube sealing rings and bolt sealing washers. Replace if necessary.
  2. Fit gasket to camshaft cover.
  3. Apply silicone sealant to areas shown.
  4. Fit camshaft cover, fit bolts and tighten progressively to 10 Nm.
  5. Connect breather hose and secure clip.
  6. Connect h.t. leads to spark plugs and secure lead clip to bracket.

CAUTION: If engine requires refilling with oil or oil top-up, allow 20 minutes for sealant to cure.
