Intake air temperature (iat) sensor

Refit

1. Lubricate and fit new ’O’ ring to solenoid.
2. Clean solenoid plunger.
3. Fit spring and plunger to solenoid.
4. Fit solenoid to injection pump and tighten to 20 Nm.
5. Connect lead to solenoid, fit nut and tighten to 2.5 Nm.
6. Remove absorbent cloth.
7. Fit acoustic cover. See BODY, Exterior fittings.
8. Connect battery earth lead.

INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR

Service repair no - 18.30.09

Remove

1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
2. Remove engine acoustic cover. See BODY, Exterior fittings.

3. Disconnect multiplug from IAT sensor.
4. Loosen IAT sensor.
5. Remove IAT sensor.

Refit

1. Clean threads of IAT sensor.
2. Clean mating faces of IAT sensor and inlet manifold.
3. Clean threads of IAT sensor and apply Loctite 577.
4. Fit IAT sensor to inlet manifold and tighten to 12 Nm.
5. Connect multiplug to IAT sensor.
6. Fit engine acoustic cover. See BODY, Exterior fittings.
7. Connect battery earth lead.
