CONDENSER - DIESEL

Service repair no - 82.15.07

Remove

1. Recover refrigerant from air conditioning system. See Adjustments.

2. Remove nut and bolt securing safety catch to bonnet platform.
3. Remove 2 nuts securing condenser mountings to bonnet platform.
4. Remove 4 bolts securing bonnet platform to body and move platform aside.
5. Remove nut securing air conditioning pipe to intercooler.
6. Remove 2 bolts securing air conditioning pipes to condenser.
7. Release pipes from condenser and discard ’O’ rings.

CAUTION: Immediately cap all air conditioning pipes to prevent ingress of dirt and moisture into the system.

8. Release condenser from lower mountings and remove from vehicle.

Refit

1. Position condenser to vehicle and align to lower mountings.
2. Clean pipe connections.
3. Lubricate NEW ’O’ rings with clean refrigerant oil.
4. Remove plugs from pipes and fit ’O’ rings.
5. Connect pipes to condenser and tighten bolts to 12 Nm.
6. Secure air conditioning pipe clip to intercooler and tighten nut.
7. Fit bonnet platform, fit and tighten bolts to 9 Nm.
8. Fit and tighten nuts securing condenser mountings.
9. Fit and tighten nut and bolt securing safety catch to bonnet platform.
10. Replace receiver drier. See this section.
11. Recharge air conditioning system. See Adjustments.
