Valve Lifter Replacement Removal Procedure 1. Remove the camshaft housing cover gasket. Refer to Camshaft Housing Cover Gasket Replacement .            Note:  Set aside in the order removed. 2. Remove the 16 valve rocker arms (1) with the valve lifter.            Note:  Unclip the valve lifter from valve rocker arm in direction as shown (arrow). Mind to the centring link on retaining spring (3). 3. Remove the 16 valve lifters (2) from the valve rocker arms (1). Installation Procedure            Note:  Clip in the valve lifter to the valve rocker arm. Mind to the centring link on the retaining spring (3). 1. Install the 16 valve lifters (2) to the valve rocker arms (1). 2. Coat the 16 valve lifters with engine oil.            Note:  If the valve lifters are reused, the valve lifter must be installed in their original position. 3. Install the 16 valve rocker arms (1) with the valve lifter. 4. Install the camshaft housing cover gasket. Refer to Camshaft Housing Cover Gasket Replacement .
