1.3 Multijet

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 5530B10 BATTERY - R+R

Op. 5530B52 BATTERY SUPPORT/DRIP TRAY - R.R

Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R.

Op. 1048A23 COLD AIR INTAKE FOR AIR FILTER - R.R

Op. 1080D28 OIL VAPOUR RECOVERY PIPE BETWEEN SEPARATOR AND TURBO - R.R.

Op. 1084A16 OIL DIPSTICK PIPE - R.R

1. Unscrew bolt and disconnect the pipe from the tappet cover connector to the separator.

2. Open band (2a) and detach the pipe from the tappet cover connector to separator (2b).

1. Undo bolt (1a) and disconnect pipe from turbo to separator (1b).

1. Open band (1a) and release hose from turbo to separator (1b).

2. Open the separator retaining band

3. Undo the bolts securing the separator to the crankcase.

4. Remove the separator complete with pipe.

1. Working at the bench, open the retaining band and divide separator (1a) from oil vapour pipe (1b).

Refitting

- Working at the bench, connect the oil vapour pipe to the separator and secure it with a new retaining band.

1. Fit separator complete with pipe (1a) in its housing and tighten retaining bolts (1b) to the recommended torque.

2. Connect the separator and secure it with a new retaining band.

3. Connect hose from turbo to separator (3a) and secure with new retaining band (3b).

- Connect the pipe from the turbo to the separator and tighten the bolt.

- Connect the pipe from the tappet cover connector to the separator and secure it using a new retaining band.

- Connect the pipe from the tappet cover connector to the separator and tighten the bolt.
