With this programming system all the remote control codes, in unlimited quantity, are “recognised”, but only the last 8 remain memorised by the alarm system, operating as follows:

  1. Press and hold pressed button (5) on the ceiling light (receiver); the adjacent green LED (4)switches on and flashes.
  2. Keeping button (5) pressed, press the sender key(2).
  3. Release key (2) when green LED (4) on the ceiling light becomes a fixed light.
  4. Release button (5) on the ceiling light at the end of the programming cycle.
  5. If the receiver LED from flashing switches off, when the remote control key is pressed, this indicates that the receiver memory is closed; in this case it is necessary to use the “PROTECTED” programming method.

NOTE To enter another remote control repeat the operations from step 1 of the simplified programming.

NOTE The simplified programming procedure erases once and for all the UNIVERSAL code, used prior to the vehicle delivery to the customer.

COUNTRY CODE PROGRAMMING

PROCEDURE A)

After memorising the remote controls as described above, within 15 seconds after the release of the receiver button on the ceiling light,the code of the country where the alarm system is to operate has to be memorised. The programming of the “country code” is carried out by pressing the receiver button in quick succession for n. times (see table below): at each pressure the LED will flash once. If the button is not pressed, the system will set according to the “country code” previously memorised; if no “country code” has been memorised previously ; (1st programming), the system will automatically set on the “ITALY” operating mode.

NOTE The 15 seconds are reduced to 3 from the second memorising onwards.

COUNTRY CODE
(number of button presses)
COUNTRY
OF OPERATION
1ITALY
2GERMANY
3FRANCE
4SWITZERLAND
5UNITED KINGDOM
6BELGIUM
7HOLLAND
8EEC$b$>

If the procedure has been carried out correctly the LED on the receiver will flash n. times (where n. is the country code number selected), confirming that the code has been memorised both in the receiver of the ceiling light and in the control unit; otherwise the LED emits a FIXED light for 5 seconds and it will therefore be necessary to repeat the operations starting from step 1. of the simplified programming.

NOTE To program the “country code” it is better to use the foreseen procedure using diagnostic tools.

PROCEDURE B)

As an alternative, the “country code” can be programmed using this procedure:

  • open the front bonnet compartment;
  • turn the ignition key from MAR to STOP, then within 15 seconds press, in quick succession(in less than 10 seconds), switch (A) 7 times(front bonnet compartment opening sensor); 5 beeps will indicate entry into MANUAL DIAGNOSIS (see relevant section). During this stage (5 beeps) press, and hold pressed, switch (A). A last long beep indicates that the operation has been accepted;
  • keep the switch pressed during the entire time of the long beep. This confirms the entry into “country code programming” and thus the possibility to subsequently enter the “country code”;
