PROTECTED PROGRAMMING

If the memory is “closed”, it is only possible to enter other remote control codes after “opening” the memory with one of the codes of the keys that is stored in the receiver.

Opening the memory and memorising a new remote control

OPENING THE MEMORY

The opening of the memory must be performed observing the operations indicated below, operating in quick succession:

  1. press button (5)on the receiver for about 1 second; LED (4) will flash as long as the button is held pressed;
  2. release the button; after about three seconds the LED emits a brief flash that indicates that the first digit of the password can be entered;
  3. press button(5) on the receiver the number of times required by the first password digit(if, for example, the password is 5.2.0.3, press 5 times). Note that each time the button is pressed the LED (4) lights up briefly to give visual confirmation;
  4. after about three seconds from the last button pressure (the fifth in our example), the LED flashes again to receive the next digit;
  5. continue from step 3 to enter all four digits (if the digit is “0”, do not press, but wait for the next request);
  6. if the password has been entered correctly (memory open) the LED will start to flash (for about 10 seconds), if instead a fixed light remains(for about 10 seconds) it is necessary to repeat the operation starting from step 1, as the password has not been acknowledged.

MEMORISING A NEW REMOTE CONTROL

  1. While the green LED(4) is flashing, press and keep pressed, button (5), LED (4) will continue to flash;
  2. press key (2) of the new remote control until the green LED (4) on the ceiling light becomes fixed;
  3. release key (2) of the sender when LED (4) on the ceiling light remains a fixed light;
  4. release button (5) on the ceiling light at the end of the programming cycle.

NOTE If the procedure has been carried out correctly the LED on the receiver will flash n. times (where n. is the number of the “country code” selected), confirming that the code has been memorised both in the receiver and in the control unit; if it has not, the LED remains alight but FIXED for 5 seconds; at this point it will be necessary to repeat all the operations starting from step 1 of the programming.
After the new remote control has been memorised, the memory “closes” again.

SYSTEM SELF-DIAGNOSIS

The alarm system is able to indicate to the User any faults in the system, by fixed light or flashing of the dissuasion LED, situated on the upper trim of the steering column.

At switch-on the system makes a self-diagnosis, if there is a fault or failure in the system, the red dissuasion LED indicates this as shown in the table below.

SELF-DIAGNOSIS DISPLAY

MODALITY FLASHINGFAULT/FAILURE
8 Hz, duration 2.5 secs.Doors/boot/bonnet open or switches (sensors open) faulty
Fixed light, duration 2.5 secs.Volumetric sensors faulty

If a door, the bonnet or the boot should be open, the relevant sensor is cut out of the surveillance and an acoustic signal (beep) of 1 second is sounded as a warning after the activation beep.

BREAK-IN ATTEMPT WARNING

Upon deactivation the system indicates this by the flashing of the red dissuasion LED, to show which sensor has activated an alarm that took place during surveillance (see table below)
