The flashes are emitted in sequence, at 1.5 second intervals for a maximum of 2 minutes or until the key is positioned on MAR.

If the dissuasion LED indicates a fault, the User should contact the Fiat After Sales Service.

It should be remembered that during servicing on the vehicle or in cases of alarm faults that trigger the siren, the alarm system can be cut out by turning the emergency key switch on the alarm ECU from ON to OFF .

After the servicing operations have been completed turn the emergency key switch back to ON and always reassemble the switch protection hood.

NOTE Each separate component of the alarm system installed on the vehicle becomes an integrating part, therefore it is not to be assembled or tested on other vehicles, even if they are the same model.

Proceed as described below:

  • open the bonnet;
  • turn the ignition key from MAR to STOP, within 15 seconds press, in quick succession (in less than 10 seconds),switch (A) (bonnet opening sensor )7 times; 5 beeps will indicate the entry into “MANUAL DIAGNOSIS”;
  • after 10 seconds the turn indicators light up for approx. half a second.

2ND STAGE (VOLUMETRIC SENSORS MANUAL DIAGNOSIS)

“MANUAL DIAGNOSIS” automatically activates the volumetric sensors self diagnosis procedure for about 10 seconds (during this time keep the doors and windows closed):

  • if there are no faults, the siren will beep 3 times and the turn lights will flash 3 times;
  • if a fault is found, one flash and one beep will be emitted.

3RD STAGE (DOOR/COMPARTMENT OPENING/CLOSING SENSORS MANUAL DIAGNOSIS)

Make a diagnosis on each opening/closing sensor for moving parts(doors/ bonnet/boot):

  • at each opening of a door or compartment the siren beeps and there is a brief flash from the turn lights and the dissuasion LED.

4TH STAGE (MANUAL DIAGNOSIS DEACTIVATION)

There are two ways to exit from “MANUAL DIAGNOSIS” :

  • automatic: not opening a door or compartment for at least 30 seconds;
  • manual: turning the ignition key from STOP to MAR.

The exit from “MANUAL DIAGNOSIS” is indicated by a beep (0.5 sec.)and the switching on of the turn indicators (2.5 sec.).
