AIR CLEANER

Service repair no - 19.10.01

Remove

  1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
  2. Remove engine cover. See ENGINE, Repairs.
  3. Remove engine compartment access panel. See BODY, Exterior fittings.
Air cleaner – Remove engine compartment access panel. See BODY, Exterior fittings.
  1. Loosen clip screw and release hose from air cleaner.
  2. Remove clip and remove hose from throttle body.
  3. Remove bolt securing air cleaner to mounting bracket.
  4. Remove stud securing air cleaner to mounting bracket.
  5. Remove air cleaner from lower mounting and resonator duct. Do not carry out further dismantling if component is removed for access only.
  6. Release 4 clips securing air cleaner cover.
  7. Remove air cleaner cover and element.
  8. Clean air cleaner box and cover.
  9. Fit air cleaner element and cover and secure with clips.

Refit

  1. Fit air cleaner assembly and align to mounting bracket and resonator duct.
  2. Fit bolt and stud securing air cleaner to mounting bracket.
  3. Fit hose to throttle body and secure clip.
  4. Position hose to air cleaner and tighten clip screw.
  5. Fit engine compartment access panel. See BODY, Exterior fittings.
  6. Fit engine cover. See ENGINE, Repairs.
  7. Connect battery earth lead.
