  1. Release h.t. leads from distributor cap.

Refit

  1. Fit h.t. leads to distributor cap.

NOTE: Ensure cylinder number printed on h.t. lead matches cylinder number embossed on distributor cap.

  1. Route h.t. leads correctly through grommet and onto retaining plate.
  2. Connect h.t. leads to spark plugs.
  3. Fit h.t. lead cover and tighten screws to 2 Nm.
  4. Fit engine cover. See ENGINE, Repairs.
  5. Connect battery earth lead.

Remove

  1. Remove engine cover. See ENGINE, Repairs.
Ht lead - set - mpi mems3 (2000my on) – Remove engine cover. See ENGINE, Repairs.
  1. Remove screws securing coil cover and remove cover.
Ht lead - set - mpi mems3 (2000my on) – Remove screws securing coil cover and remove cover.
  1. Disconnect ht leads from coils, release ht leads from retainers.
  2. Disconnect ht leads from plugs and remove ht leads.

Refit

  1. Connect ht leads to plugs.
  2. Connect ht leads to coils and secure in retainers.
  3. Fit coil cover and tighten screws to 8 Nm.
  4. Fit engine cover. See ENGINE, Repairs.
