  1. Remove FIP drive gear retaining nut.
  2. Remove locking pin tool 18G 1717 from FIP drive gear.

  1. Fit tool 18G 1512B to FIP drive gear.
  2. Rotate tool 18G 1512B centre bolt clockwise to release FIP drive gear from taper.
  3. Remove tool 18G 1512B from drive gear.

  1. Remove nut and disconnect feed lead from no 2 glow plug

  1. Release injector needle lift sensor multiplug from FIP bracket.
  2. Disconnect 2 FIP multiplugs.
  3. Release engine harness from injection pump bracket.
  4. Position absorbent cloth to collect fuel spillage.
  5. Remove bolt securing fuel feed pipe banjo to FIP and discard sealing washers.
  6. Disconnect fuel return hose to FIP from No 3 injector.
  7. Remove cap nut, release fuel return pipe banjo from FIP and discard sealing washers.

CAUTION: Plug the connections.
