1.3 Multijet

Removing

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R.

Op. 1060F20 PIPE FROM PRESSURE PUMP TO FUEL MANIFOLD - R.R.

- For all the fuel manifold pipes to electric injectors operate as described in:

Op. 1060F34 PIPE FROM FUEL MANIFOLD TO INJECTOR - R.R.

1. Disconnect the electrical connections from fuel pressure sensor (1a) and fuel pressure regulator (1b).

2. Open retaining band (2a) and disconnect hose (2b) between the common rail and the fuel return pipe, common rail side.

3. Undo bolts (3a) and remove common rail (3b).

1. Undo bolts (1a) and remove common rail mounting bracket (1b).

1. Working at a bench, undo the fuel pressure sensor and fuel pressure regulator.

Refitting

- Working at a bench, fit the fuel pressure sensor and fuel pressure regulator onto the common rail.

1. Fit common rail mounting bracket (1a) in position and tighten bolts (1b) to the recommended torque.

1. Fit common rail mounting bracket (1a) in position and tighten bolts (1b) to the recommended torque.

2. Connect hose (2a) between the common rail and the fuel return pipe, securing it with a new retaining band (2b).

3. Connect fuel pressure sensor electrical connections (2a) and fuel pressure regulator (2b).

- Connect the negative battery terminal.
