7. Disconnect multiplug from airbag module.
8. Remove airbag module.
NOTE: Do not carry out further dismantling if
component is removed for access only.
WARNING: Store the airbag module with the
deployment side uppermost. If it is stored
deployment side down, accidental
deployment will propel the airbag module
with enough force to cause serious injury.
WARNING: Store the airbag module or seat
pre-tensioner in a designated storage area.
If there is no designated storage area
available, store in the locked luggage
compartment/loadspace area of the vehicle,
and inform the workshop supervisor.
9. Remove glove box lock assembly from airbag
module.
Refit
NOTE: If the SRS component is to be replaced,
the bar code of the new unit must be recorded.
1. Fit glove box lock assembly to airbag module.
2. Position airbag module to fascia and connect
multiplug.
3. Fit bolts to airbag module and tighten to 22 Nm
(16 lbf.ft).
4. Fit and tighten airbag screws.
5. Fit shroud.
6. Fit top rail finisher.

7. Connect battery leads, earth lead last.

Before disconnecting the battery, ensure all text and
cautions in the battery disconnection section are
observed.
GENERAL INFORMATION, Electrical
WARNING: It is imperative that before any work
is undertaken on the SRS system, the
appropriate information is read thoroughly.
WARNING: Always disconnect both battery leads
before beginning work on the SRS system.
Disconnect the negative lead first. Never reverse
connect the battery.
Remove
1. Make the SRS system safe.

2. Remove headlining.
3. Disconnect multiplug from airbag module.
