FRONT DAMPER

Service repair no - 60.30.02

Remove

  1. Raise front of vehicle.

WARNING: Support on safety stands.

  1. Remove road wheel(s).
Front damper – Remove road wheel(s).
  1. Remove 2 bolts securing brake hose bracket to damper.
  2. Remove bolt securing damper fork to damper.
  3. Remove nut and bolt securing damper fork to lower arm. Discard nut.
  4. Release and remove fork from damper.

NOTE: The LH and RH damper forks are not interchangeable. The LH fork is marked ’VL’ and the RH fork ’VR’.

Front damper – Release and remove fork from damper.
  1. Remove 2 nuts securing damper to valance.
  2. Remove spring and damper assembly. Do not carry out further dismantling if component is removed for access only.
