  1. AUTO button
  2. Temperature select switch

The unit will select FAST blower speed for maximum ventilation, set the blend flap to face level, select recirculation and switch on the air-conditioning compressor.

NOTE: Even if the coolant temperature is below 30 °C, 86 °F the blower will operate because of the interior temperature.

As the interior air temperature approaches the setpoint the blower speed will reduce. The fresh recirculation flap and the distribution flap may remain in their initial positions dependent on outside air temperature.

Because the combination of outside temperature, light and heat conditions can vary so widely it is difficult to describe what particular set of operating conditions may be selected by the system.

  1. Selected Temperature
  2. Blower

For example at an outside temperature of 10 °C, 50 °F the system could be running with virtually no face level ventilation.

Fault display

The ATC system monitors its sensors and flap actuators continuously. If a fault develops, the display will show ’Er’ and the bleeper will sound for 15 seconds when the ignition is switched on. The display will then return to normal.

Should this occur, refer to the ROVER 800 Series - Electrical Fault Finding Manual - Automatic Temperature Control, Self-diagnosis test and Fault Finding Guide.
