Brake Disc, Precision Turning
Remove
1. |
Remove corresponding wheels

Mark position in relation to centre of wheel

Warning: Do not use brake discs
which cannot be re-machined within the nominal values.
|

Check surface condition of brake disc
• |
Measure brake disc thickness with MKM-230-A
permissible minimum thickness of brake discs after
precision turning:
|
Front brake disc – solid Z 10 XE, Z 12 XE
|
|
9.0 mm
|
Front brake disc – ventilated Z 10 XE, Z 12 XE C
|
|
18.0 mm
|
Front brake disc – ventilated Z 14 XE, Y 17 DT, Y 17 DTL,
Z 18 XE
|
|
22.0 mm
|
Rear brake disc Z 18 XE
|
|
9.0 mm
|
Note: Once these
dimensions have been attained, new brake linings may only be
installed on one further occasion. Thereafter, the brake discs must
be replaced.

|
Important: Read manufacturer's
instructions before machining!

3. |
Precision turn the corresponding brake discs
Note: Machine the brake
discs on the right side first. The brake disc machining unit is
applied to the left side turned through 180°, the settings for
the right side can be transferred. Machine the rear brake discs on
the left side first. On the right side, the brake disc machining
unit is applied turned through 180°, the settings for the left
side can be transferred.

Remove corresponding retaining frame for brake calliper or

Install

Install corresponding retaining frame or

Attach corresponding wheels 110
