1.9 Multijet

Removing

Op. 1016A10 SOUND-PROOFING COVER - R.R

Op. 1060F36 PIPES (ALL) FROM FUEL MANIFOLD TO INJECTOR - R.R.

1. Manually push the clips (1a) and disconnect the pipe from the injectors to the fuel manifold (1b), injector side.

1. Undo the nuts fixing the injector mounting brackets.

2. Position the tool (2a) for extracting the injectors, taking care to position the lifting bracket (2b) under the polygonal area (2c) of the injector.

3. Position the second tool lifting bracket (3a) under the injector securing bracket (3b).

4. Tighten the tool nut (4a) and remove the injector assembly (4b).

- Repeat the operation for the remaining injectors.

Refitting

- Place the injectors (1a) in their seats complete with brackets and fasten them tightening the nuts to the recommended torque.

- Connect the pipe from the injectors to the fuel recovery manifold to the injectors and push home until the clips click into place.

1.3 Multijet

Removing

Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R.

Op. 1060G22 CAM ANGLE SENSOR - R.R

1. Disconnect the electrical connections for the injectors.

2. Undo the bolts (2a) and rmove the electrical wiring (2b) aside.

1. Manually push the clips (1a) and disconnect the pipe from the injectors to the fuel manifold (1b), injector side.

2. Undo the bolts (2a) and move the duct (2b) as necessary.

3. Unscrew the connectors (3a) and remove the pipes from the fuel manifold to the injectors (3b).

Use new pipes from the fuel manifold to the injectors when refitting.

1. Undo the injector fastening bracket nut.

2. Keep the washer (2a) and the tapered washer (2b).

3. Remove the injectors (3a), one at a time, using the tools (3b) and (3c).

- Remove the injectors complete with bracket.

Replace the copper injector seals.

- Repeat the above procedure to remove the remaining pair of injectors.

4. Remove the injector seals from the camshaft housing.

These seals are replaced each time they are dismantled.

Refitting

- Place the new injector seals in the housings on the camshaft housing.

1. Refit injectors (1a) with brackets (1b) into their seats.

Before refitting, replace the copper seal on the injectors.

2. Refit the tapered washer (2a) and washer (2b) in their seats.

3. Tighten the nut securing the injector bracket to the specified torque.

- Fit new pipes from the fuel manifold to the injectors and secure with connectors without tightening.

- Tighten the connectors for the pipes from the fuel manifold to the injector side injectors to the recommended torque using an appropriate commercial wrench.

- Tighten the connectors for the pipes from the fuel manifold to the fuel manifold side injectors to the recommended torque using an appropriate commercial wrench.

Clean the threaded pipe seats on the manifold and injectors with heptane.

- Fit the duct in its housing and secure it using the bolts.

- Connect the pipe from the injectors to the fuel manifold, injector side pushing it home until the clips click into place.

- Place the electrical wiring in position and fasten it using the bolts.

- Connect the electrical connections for the injectors.
