7. Remove screw and trim stud from each hood hinge cover and remove hinge covers.
8. Release turnbuckles on hood ram inspection covers and remove covers.

9. Remove retaining clip, retain Belville washer as the clevis pin is withdrawn from ram trunnion.

10. Slacken hood hinge bracket fixings (TX40 Torx bit).
11. With assistance, lift each hood hinge up and forward as far as possible before tightening screws.

CAUTION: Do not raise hood before brackets are tightened, or serious damage may result. If the hood hinge brackets are incorrectly set, the hood will foul on the rear windows, again resulting in serious damage.

12. Remove support blocks from 'B' posts and place one 50mm deep block between centre of front header rail and hood.

13. Lift hood rams to their fully extended positions.

WARNING: To avoid personal injury, and serious damage to hood, do not operate rams hydraulically before hood is fully assembled.

14. Check for exact alignment of clevis pin holes in ram trunnion and hood. If adjustment is necessary, slacken trunnion lock nut and rotate trunnion until holes are exactly aligned.
15. Fit a Belville washer to inside of each trunnion before fitting clevis pin and retaining clip.
16. Remove support block from header rail and reposition two 50mm deep blocks on 'B' posts.
17. Fit wire hook to front headlining straps.
18. Reach between hood ram and rear quarter trim panel and engage headlining strap hook into its bracket at base of hood ram.
19. Fit headlining tension rods and engage elastic straps over the end of each rod.

CAUTION: The tension rods are 'handed' and will not lie flat on rear shelf if fitted incorrectly.

20. Engage end of each tension rod in its location and align fixing hole with a bradawl before fitting screw.
21. Secure Velcro on headlining to sides of backlight and rear shelf trim.
22. Remove support blocks from 'B' posts.

Note: If header rail adjustment is not necessary, proceed to item 30.
