DIPSTICK TUBE

Service repair no - 12.60.09

Remove

  1. Remove engine acoustic cover. See BODY, Exterior fittings.
  2. Remove underbelly panel. See BODY, Exterior fittings.
Dipstick tube – Remove underbelly panel. See BODY, Exterior fittings.
  1. Remove bolt securing brake servo vacuum pipe to coolant outlet elbow and move aside.
  2. Remove dipstick from tube.
  3. Remove bolt securing dipstick tube to coolant outlet elbow.
  4. Release dipstick tube from block and remove.

Refit

  1. Clean dipstick tube and mating face on block.
  2. Apply Loctite 638 to dipstick tube and fit to block.
  3. Fit bolt securing dipstick tube to coolant outlet elbow and tighten to 25 Nm.
  4. Fit bolt securing brake servo vacuum pipe to coolant outlet elbow and tighten to 25 Nm.
  5. Fit dipstick to tube.
  6. Fit underbelly panel. See BODY, Exterior fittings.
  7. Fit engine acoustic cover. See BODY, Exterior fittings.

OIL PUMP

Service repair no - 12.60.26

Remove

  1. Remove camshaft timing belt. See this section.
Oil pump – Remove camshaft timing belt. See this section.
  1. Remove crankshaft timing gear.
  2. Remove oil pressure switch. See this section.

Models with air conditioning

  1. Remove engine overheat sensor. See AIR CONDITIONING, Repairs.
