Inlet manifold gasket - ’k’ series

Refit

1. Clean manifold mating faces and fit new gasket.
2. Remove block and fit manifold to studs.
3. Fit manifold nuts and tighten progressively to 23 Nm.
4. Position manifold support bracket, fit bolts and tighten to 24 Nm.
5. Secure harness clip to support bracket.
6. Secure harness clips to alternator bracket and body.
7. Fit air intake hose to air cleaner. connect hose to throttle housing and tighten clip.
8. Connect breather pipe and secure with clip.
9. Refill cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM, Adjustments.
10. Remove stand(s) and lower vehicle.
11. Connect battery earth lead.

Service repair no - 30.15.08

Remove

1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
2. Drain cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM, Adjustments.

3. Position absorbent cloth around fuel filter outlet union. Slacken union to relieve fuel pressure. Retighten union to 30 Nm.

CAUTION: To prevent damage to fuel system pipes and components use two spanners when loosening or tightening unions.
