INLET AND EXHAUST MANIFOLD GASKET - ’L’ SERIES

Service repair no - 30.15.15

Remove

  1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
  2. Remove underbelly panel. See BODY, Exterior fittings.
  3. Remove engine acoustic cover. See BODY, Exterior fittings.
  4. Remove turbocharger outlet pipe. See ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM - EDC, Repairs.
Inlet and exhaust manifold gasket - ’l’ series – Remove turbocharger outlet pipe. See ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM - EDC, Repairs.
  1. Loosen clip and disconnect breather hose from camshaft cover. Position hose aside.
  2. Loosen clips and disconnect air intake hose from turbocharger. Position hose aside.
Inlet and exhaust manifold gasket - ’l’ series – Loosen clips and disconnect air intake hose from turbocharger. Position hose aside.
  1. Remove banjo bolt securing oil feed pipe to turbocharger, collect 2 sealing washers.
  2. Disconnect vacuum hose from turbocharger actuator.
Inlet and exhaust manifold gasket - ’l’ series – Disconnect vacuum hose from turbocharger actuator.
  1. Disconnect vacuum pipe from EGR valve.
  2. Remove 2 Allen screws securing EGR valve to inlet manifold.
  3. Remove 2 bolts securing EGR valve recirculation pipe to exhaust manifold.
  4. Release and remove EGR valve.
  5. Remove and discard 2 gaskets.
