Refit

  1. Clean flange mating faces and fit NEW gasket.
  2. Connect front pipe flange to turbo charger outlet elbow.
  3. Fit turbo charger heat shield bracket, fit flange nuts and tighten to 45 Nm.
  4. Fit and tighten bolt securing turbo charger heat shield to bracket.
  5. Align manifold heat shield, fit bolts and tighten to 8 Nm.
  6. Connect battery earth lead.
  7. Fit engine acoustic cover.

Remove

  1. Remove RH inlet manifold gasket. See this section.

  1. Disconnect intake air temperature sensor multiplug.
  2. Remove 5 bolts and 2 nuts securing LH inlet manifold to cylinder head.
  3. Remove inlet manifold and gasket.

Refit

  1. Clean inlet manifold and cylinder head mating face.
  2. Fit gasket and manifold to cylinder head.
  3. Fit and tighten manifold nuts and bolts progressively to 25 Nm.
  4. Connect air temperature sensor multiplug.
  5. Fit RH inlet manifold gasket. See this section.
