RH inlet manifold gasket - KV6

Refit

1. Clean faces on manifold chamber and inlet manifolds.
2. Fit new gasket and ’O’ rings.
3. Position manifold chamber and connect throttle position sensor multiplug.
4. Fit nuts securing manifold chamber and tighten to 45 Nm.
5. Fit bolts securing manifold chamber and tighten to 45 Nm.
6. Position engine harness and tighten bolts to 9 Nm.
7. Fit manifold support brackets and tighten bolts to 25 Nm.
8. Connect manifold absolute pressure sensor multiplug.
9. Connect VIS motor and idle air control valve multiplugs.
10. Connect vacuum hoses to throttle housing and manifold chamber.
11. Connect throttle cable to cam and outer cable to abutment bracket.
12. Connect engine harness multiplug to bracket.
13. Position intake hose to throttle housing and idle air control valve. Secure hose clips.
14. Connect battery earth lead.
15. Adjust throttle cable. See ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM - MEMS, Adjustments.
16. Fit engine acoustic cover. See BODY, Repairs.
17. Connect battery earth lead.

RH INLET MANIFOLD GASKET - KV6

Service repair no - 30.15.43

Remove

1. Remove fuel rail. See ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM - MEMS, Repairs.
2. Drain cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM - ’KV6’, Adjustments.

CAUTION: Remove drain plug from cylinder block to ensure retained coolant does not enter the intake ports in the cylinder head.

3. Release clip and disconnect coolant link hose to RH inlet manifold.
4. Remove 5 bolts and 2 nuts securing inlet manifold to cylinder head.
5. Remove inlet manifold and gasket.
