ENGINE MOUNTING - LH - STEPTRONIC (EM-CVT) MODELS

Service repair no - 12.45.11

Remove

  1. Raise vehicle on a 2 post ramp.
  2. Remove LH rear road wheel.
  3. Support weight of engine with hydraulic jack.

NOTE: Place a piece of wood between engine and jack to avoid damage.

Engine mounting - lh - steptronic (em-cvt) models – Support weight of engine with hydraulic jack.
  1. If fitted, remove 2 bolts securing air intake resonator to body and release resonator. Collect metal inserts
  2. Remove air cleaner. See ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM - MEMS, Repairs.

  1. Release 3 cables from air cleaner support bracket.
Engine mounting - lh - steptronic (em-cvt) models – Release 3 cables from air cleaner support bracket.
  1. Remove 2 nuts securing fuel filter to air cleaner support bracket.
  2. Release fuel filter from support bracket and position aside.
  3. Remove 3 bolts securing air cleaner support bracket to body and remove bracket.
  4. Loosen clip securing air intake hose to resonator and release hose from resonator.
  5. Depressurise LH side of hydragas system. See SUSPENSION, Adjustments.
Engine mounting - lh - steptronic (em-cvt) models – Depressurise LH side of hydragas system. See SUSPENSION, Adjustments.
  1. Loosen union on hydragas unit, release pipe, remove and discard ’O’ ring.

CAUTION: Plug the connections.
