CAUTION: Do not make a permanent adhesive joint at this stage as adjustment of the outer covering tension may be necessary.

  2. Lower hood partially until forward half of hood is vertical. Refit chocks to support power hood.
  3. Adjust position of outer cover to header rail and recheck tension if necessary.
  4. Press outer covering onto header to make adhesive joint, making sure that covering does not crease.
  5. Trim excess material from area of header as necessary.
  6. Secure loose edges of outer covering material on underside of header with "zig zag" stitching.
  7. Make holes through outer cover for header seal retainer with bradawl.
  8. Fit header seal and secure with screws.
  9. Secure header seal in rear retainer.
  10. Fit cantrail cables to rear mounting points and loosely fit adjusting nuts at end of thread.
  11. Apply adhesive to 'D' post brackets and mating surfaces of outer covering.

CAUTION: Care must be taken not to damage outer covering during above operation.

  1. Remove chocks, raise and secure hood.
  2. Secure hood rear quarters to 'D' post brackets, ensuring that even tension is applied as bond is made.
  3. Adjust cantrail cable tension, see Adjustments.
  4. Fit 'D' post seals and secure with trim studs.
  5. Raise hood onto 50mm wooden blocks placed on 'B' posts.
