HANDBRAKE CABLE - DISC BRAKES

Service repair no - 70.35.29

Remove

  1. Raise rear of vehicle.

WARNING: Support on safety stands.

  1. Remove road wheel(s).
  2. Remove rear console. See BODY, Interior trim components.
Handbrake cable - disc brakes – Remove rear console. See BODY, Interior trim components.
  1. Remove cable adjusting nut.
  2. Remove 2 bolts securing cable retaining plate to body and remove plate.
  3. Release equaliser from adjusting rod.
  4. Release cable from equaliser plate.
  5. Reach under carpet and release grommet from body and remove from cable.
Handbrake cable - disc brakes – Reach under carpet and release grommet from body and remove from cable.
  1. Release exhaust pipe from rear mountings and lower pipe.
  2. Remove 4 bolts securing fuel tank heat shield to body and remove heat shield.
Handbrake cable - disc brakes – Remove 4 bolts securing fuel tank heat shield to body and remove heat shield.
  1. Remove 3 bolts securing handbrake cable clips to body and trailing arm.
