  1. Release 2 rubber mountings from intermediate pipe.
  2. Disengage and remove intermediate pipe, discard gasket.

Refit

  1. Clean mating faces of intermediate pipe, catalytic converter and tail pipe.
  2. Position a new flange gasket to catalytic converter.
  3. Align and fit intermediate pipe to catalytic converter, fit nuts and tighten to 34 Nm.
  4. Align and fit tail pipe to intermediate pipe, fit nuts and tighten to 45 Nm.
  5. Connect rubber mountings to intermediate pipe.
  6. Lower ramp.
  7. Connect battery earth lead.

Remove

  1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
  2. Raise vehicle on a ramp.

  1. Remove 2 nuts, intermediate pipe to tail pipe.

  1. Release 3 rubber mountings from tail pipe.
  2. Remove tail pipe from vehicle.

Refit

  1. Clean intermediate and tail pipe mating faces.
  2. Connect 3 rubber mountings to tail pipe.
  3. Fit tail pipe to intermediate pipe and tighten nuts to 45 Nm.
  4. Lower ramp.
  5. Connect battery earth lead.
