Back Panel (77.80.20)  

Removal  

NOTE :

When replacing the back panel it is necessary to remove a section of the rear lamp panel. 

1 . 

  

Disconnect both battery cables. For additional information, refer to 

Specifications

 (Section 414-00 

Charging System - General Information) 

2 . 

  

Remove the rear bumper cover. For additional information, refer to 

Rear Bumper Cover (76.22.74)

 

(Section 501-19 Bumpers) 

3 . 

  

Remove both D-pillar trim panels. For additional information, refer to 

D-Pillar Trim Panel (76.13.30)

 

(Section 501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation) 

4 . 

  Remove the tailgate hinge trim cover.

5 . 

  Remove the tailgate weather seal.

6 . 

  Remove the load space trims.

7 . 

  Remove the load space carpets.

8 . 

  With assistance remove the tailgate.

9 . 

  Remove the L/H exhaust heatshield tailpipe.

10 . 

  Remove the R/H exhaust heatshield tailpipe.

11 . 

  Remove the spare wheel and tire.

12 . 

  Release the back panel wiring harness.

13 .
