Refit

  1. Clean and fit pulley to crankshaft and tighten crankshaft pulley bolt to 63 Nm + 90° .
  2. Remove tool 18G 1523 from flywheel.
  3. Fit auxiliary drive belt.See ELECTRICAL, Adjustments.
  4. Fit road wheel(s) and tighten nuts to correct torque. See INFORMATION, Torque wrench settings.

Remove

  1. Remove camshaft timing belt. See this section.
Crankshaft front oil seal – Remove camshaft timing belt. See this section.
  1. Remove timing gear from crankshaft.
Crankshaft front oil seal – Remove timing gear from crankshaft.
  1. Ensure bore of 18G 1718 is burr free. Screw tool into crankshaft front oil seal.
  2. Remove oil seal by tightening centre bolt of tool.
